About Art for Good!

Hi, My name is Yamini

Art has been part of my life since I was born; a gift that helped me express and understand myself better. My art journey is inspired by my Indian roots and global travels. I paint in various mediums and always from my heart! Painting brings me peace, and I wanted my art to add value to someone's life. That is why I decided to call my brand Art for Good and donate part of my sales to supporting different causes and charities close to my heart.

SAMA

SAMA: The Sattvic Soul was created by Yamini and her sister Parijat Naik for UAE's largest contemporary art fair, World Art Dubai held in March 2022 in Dubai. Hosting 4000+ artwork pieces from renowned galleries and artists hailing from all over the world,  WAD is a prestigious event in the art world. In this series, the artists explore the philosophy behind various spiritual symbols, traditional practices, metaphysical forms and elements of nature. The artwork enables the viewer to experience a sense of SAMA - the state of calmness and tranquility

CONFINED

CONFINED was created by Yamini between 2020-2021 during the time the world was confined at home. It was a transformative moment for many. Time in the middle of isolation created a rise of emotions, fears, insecurities and attention to things that we were otherwise too busy to see. It felt like the world had stopped and yet nature continued to grow and to evolve.

This line of work was exhibited in a private Art Exposition in Singapore in 2022.

A WOMAN

A WOMAN was the first line of work created by the artist Yamini between 2012-2019 . This period was a phase of self discovery, life changes, decisions and moves. It was the discovery of what it means to be a woman. The emotions, the responsibilities, the social conditioning and the identities built over generation. And yet a woman can be a goddess, a goddess of kindness and a goddess of destruction. She can create and she can destroy. She is a force like no other.

This line of work was exhibited in Affordable Art Fair in Singapore in 2019.

Art for Good Charities

Thanks to all those who have bought my art. Because of you, I can donate part of my sales to different causes and charities close to my heart. Here is some information about the charities I support..

Charity

In 2022, with the partnership of Wind Blend, Art for Good hosted something truly special - Kappalady Village’s first ever art competition for children. The children come mainly from poor families. The event celebrated the creativity and talent of the children.

charity

This cause was dear to one of my Art buyers. He supported this orphanage that is a "safe haven" to children throughout Thailand. Safe Haven Orphanage is a home that provides disadvantaged children with proper nurture, nutrition, shelter, clothing, medical care, and education.

charity

Through my work Confinement, I supported  @thebetterindia in partnership with Dream School Foundation to help children studying in government, semi government-aided, and private schools of Bengaluru (India). Through this campaign, 30+ children took one more step towards realising their dreams.
